Gwen Vangestel werd in de nacht van woensdag op donderdag vermoord in haar appartement in het Belgische Heppen,
meldt de Gazet van Antwerpen. Daarna werden de dochter van het slachtoffer, Joy, en haar vriendje Dimitri opgepakt
op verdenking van betrokkenheid bij de brute moord. Later bekenden ze samen de moord te hebben beraamd,
die voor de ogen van Joy werd uitgevoerd door Dimitri.
Het Openbaar Ministerie onderzoekt of een mogelijke zwangerschap van het meisje de aanleiding is geweest voor de moord.
Uit de eerste verhoren zou naar voren zijn gekomen dat het meisje zwanger is en dat niet durfde te vertellen aan haar moeder.
Jeugdzorg
Het Openbaar Ministerie heeft een maand geleden al aan het Comité Bijzondere Jeugdzorg laten weten dat er
problemen waren in het gezin. Gwen zou tegen de relatie van haar dochter met Dimitri geweest zijn, waarna
het meisje van huis wegliep en met Dimitri bij zijn moeder ging wonen. Na twee weken kwam ze weer terug,
waarna het afgelopen week gruwelijk misging.

Verschrikkelijk dat ze om zo'n reden zo'n gruwelijke daad plegen. Ik kan me voorstellen dat je bang bent
om je moeder in zo'n geval te vertellen dat je zwanger bent, maar door je moeder te vermoorden
schiet je volgens mij niet echt veel op.
