Twittertrend: foto's van slapende onenightstands
Britse jongemannen moedigen elkaar aan om foto's van halfnaakte, slapende meisjes,
waarmee ze de nacht hebben doorgebracht, te posten op Twitter.
Heel wat Britse jongeren hebben afgelopen weekend al zo'n intieme foto online gezet.
De trend gaat rond op de socialenetwerksite onder #bedofshame en werd gelanceerd
door een Britse deelnemer van de realityshow Geordie Shore, Gaz Beadle.
Dit tv-programma is het beste te omschrijven als een Britse versie van Oh Oh Cherso.
Gaz deelde vorige week de foto met zijn 500.000 volgers en meteen werd hij overladen met reacties.
Beledigingen
Fans van Beadle poseerden gelijk ook met hun nietsvermoedende vrouwelijke bedpartners,
vaak begeleid met beledigende commentaren als 'Net wakker geworden naast deze slet'.
Veel van de meisjes op de foto's zijn naakt of schaarsgekleed en zich vaak van geen kwaad bewust.
De beelden werden massaal 'geretweet', waardoor ze razendsnel online verspreid werden.
Gaz moedigt nu mannen aan dit komend week opnieuw te doen.
Kritiek
Uiteraard volge ook de nodige kritiek. Sommigen vinden #bedofshame een walgelijke manier
om Twitter te gebruiken. Volgens critici bewijst dit dat te veel mannen vrouwen tegenwoordig
alleen als een seksobject zien. Anderen menen dan weer dat als meisjes besluiten een onenightstand
te hebben, ze zelf verantwoordelijkheid moeten dragen voor de gevolgen ervan. |
Als beiden dat goed vinden moet men het zelf weten, maar ik vind het niet kunnen om stiekem een foto van je (half)naakte (bed)partner te twitteren.
De foto's die ze twitter vind ik nogal meevallen, bedoel je ziet alleen wat haar en soms een stukje rug/schouder,
maar het is natuurlijk niet netjes om een foto van je bedpartner te twitteren zonder overleg.
